Highly recommended and only 5 miles from the centre of Palma, the Hotel Bon Sol is set on a cliff top amidst pine trees and luxurious sub-tropical gardens. The hotel is privately owned and furnished throughout to a deluxe standard, the spacious bedrooms and public rooms being filled with antiques, beautiful paintings and porcelain. All rooms are en suite and have central heating/air conditioning, mini bar, satellite T.V, telephone, safe, hairdryer, bathrobe, beach towels and furnished terrace. Standard rooms are positioned facing the sea or at 90° to the sea whilst superior rooms are larger and all face the sea. Extensive leisure facilities include; windsurfing, two heated swimming pools, tennis/squash courts, table tennis, volley ball, children's play area (children are also looked after free during school holidays up to 10pm, chargeable thereafter), mini golf, billiards, sauna, solarium and fitness room. The spa also has a steam bath and Thalassotherapy, a modern and highly effective form of health treatment using seaweed, seawater and thermals. The à la carte restaurant is superb and serves Spanish, French and international cuisine, also catering for vegetarians and children. Additionally, there is a conveniently situated buffet/grill/bar on the beach (May to Oct). Lifts operate to the bedrooms and also to the small, safe, private sandy beach with crystal clear water or else the 200 steps from reception can help work off those holiday pounds! (Steps make the hotel unsuitable for disabled guests). Other public beaches are available nearby. The 28 garden rooms at Hotel Bon Sol are down by the private beach and though separate to the main building, enjoy all the hotel's facilities.
