This small agricultural town lies northeast of Palma and is the hub of Mallorca's wine growing region, synonymous with authenticity, warm heartedness and loaded with character. The main attraction of the town apart from its sleepy streets of mellow golden stone is its rarity as a place untouched by development or exploitation. There are a reasonable selection of restaurants (usually all closed on Mondays) in Binissalem within walking and cycling distance, many others however are merely minutes drive away.
