A few traditional Mallorcan stone houses entirely typifying the "other" Mallorca make up the hamlet of Llucalcari. Sited on the cliffs overlooking the almost unbelievably blue sea, amidst a rural setting of olive groves and pine forests, this peaceful village is close to famous Deiá, which also serves as the nearest locality for amenities. Made famous by Robert Graves who is buried here, Deiá is a mecca for artists and poets. It is without doubt a very picturesque and appealing village, nestling in acres of olive and citrus groves on the protected north west coastline, with dramatic views of mountains and sea. On this rocky coastline spectacular views abound both east and west of the village, while the village itself is a place to just sit and drink in the quiet beauty, history and ambience.
