Located west of Palma on the Costa d'En Blanes, this is one of the most sought after places on the island. The exciting port is reputedly the best in the Mediterranean and provides an excellent opportunity to view the exclusive boats and yachts and browse in the shops and bars lining the port. There are good sandy beaches either side of the marina and the largest tennis club on the island with additional sport facilities is nearby. An ideal spot for those wanting a quiet holiday with good transport links to the rest of the island if required. The pleasant village of Portals Nous has a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. The small sheltered bay is backed by steeply wooded hillsides and there is a sandy beach with more adventurous swimming from nearby rocks. This area is highly recommended for holidays at any time of the year.
