Spring in Mallorca
After the rejuvenating winter rain, the island becomes a veritable palette
bursting with colours. Emerald greens are a backcloth to the subtle shades of
pink and white of the blossoming almond trees in February. Mother Nature has
seemingly created this visual marvel around school half term, leave it only a
week or two later and the whole lot is gone in a puff of wind! Migratory
species of bird descend on Mallorca in this time and there are a huge variety
of interesting species. Walkers can expect temperate conditions to enjoy the
spectacular scenery on trails that vary in demand and cyclists take to the
roads in large numbers, a mix of "pleasure peddlers" and serious professionals,
often in training for the forthcoming season. Easter dominates the festival
calendar, when there are more local festivals than any other time, the most
impressive of which are in Palma and Pollenca. With fewer tourists on the
island, the beaches are quieter, and the resorts
and apartments in Mallorca less crowded - arguably the
best time to visit.

Summer in Mallorca
In addition to offering delightful sea front and beach holidays, Mallorca hosts
many sailing and boating races and regattas, some attracting international
entrants, the most prestigious being the King's Cup Races, held in August in
Palma Bay. Now becoming recognised as a serious producer of quality wines,
Mallorca has its wine festivals, the most well known being at Binissalem, where
the festivities continue for at least a week in mid September.

Autumn in Mallorca
Mallorca offers the serious climber, or the walker, some of the most spectacular
scenery in Europe in a climate that is usually perfect. Again the cyclists take
to the roads and can be found in either enduring the challenges of the tortuous
mountain roads, or just leisurely riding through the farmlands and pretty lanes
of the flat eastern. Several migratory species of birds descend again, though
less prolific than spring and the birds have lost their colourful plumage.

Winter in Mallorca
Mallorca's success is lies with the many diverse activities that take place all
year. Walking and climbing is great if the weather is kind, but with seriously
low priced flights out of season, Palma's boutiques and restaurant scene rival
many other Mediterranean resorts and make the city an ideal destination for
short breaks. We have a range of rural hotels in
Mallorca to suit all budgets. Culture is also a theme out of season and there are many concerts
and art exhibitions island wide. To witness this
splendour,

hotels in Mallorca.
These are but a few of the varied and interesting attractions that Mallorca has
to offer. There are many more throughout the year with spectacular fiestas and
processions. Every small community has its own colourful spectacle, usually in
the summer months, and being a strongly Christian country there are wonderful,
breathtaking processions at most religious festivals, such as Christmas and
Lent. Additionally, the battle between the Moors and the victorious Christians
is re-enacted all over the island. Throughout the year there is always
something of interest, if only to tour through the ancient, mountain villages,
where time stands still or to call at one of the many old churches and admire
the splendour and architectural beauty. There is much to see and enjoy in
Mallorca, something for everyone and so much that a lifetime spent on this
beautiful island is insufficient. Choose amongst
the picturesque rural hotels, apartment or villas in
Mallorca to spend your vacation this year.
